USCIS will consolidate FPs for 485 and EADs. So if we don't receive biometrics for 485, hopefully we will get one for EAD renewal which will also serve the purpose for 485 processing.
Note: This only applies to concurrent filers of 485 and EAD.

Yes I saw that but mine was not concurrent filing. I applied for EAD couple of months after I-485 filing and have also received the EAD.Still waiting for FP though.

2007 June visa bulletin moved EB3 India to June 2003. The very next month, they made everything current. Things went out of control after that. For some reason, in my dreamland, I am fantacizing the first move to repeat again. May not make everything current, but atleast, move EB3 to june 2003.

I think the major bone of contention among the legislators is what to do about the illegal immigrants currently in the country. Amnesty OR no amnsesty is the major debate. Other than that both are in a common frame of mind (in some way) one way or the other regarding - border enforcement, legal immigration, retrogression relief. Now, it looks like there is a common agreement that the skillful legal immigration issue has to be separated from the illgegal immigration related Amnesty OR no Amnesty debate. Hopefully we should see something positive in the next few months. This article seems to indicate in that direction since they have agreed upon one more item, border enforcement -

I'm in very similar situation. My dates were available for June as well. My HR/Attorneys did this long and painful bureaucratic process. We have an internal website which says that my case was �filed� on Jun-29th. Don�t know what the fuck that means. Whether it was sent on 29th or received on 29th? Couldn�t get HR to answer.Don�t have direct communication lines with Attorneys... If it�s sent on 29th, does USCIS take packages on Saturday or Sunday? If they take only on Monday, will they throw it out because it reached in July? Oh well, just have to wait and see...

The problem will come, if you have an RFE for employment. If you get a letter from client, they will say that the company has employed, say for example Mr John as a Programmer Analyst for a period of 1 year. This will open up one major issue, that is you do not work for a company. The H1 and 485 is an application that is sponsored by a company, there is no clause for self sponsor. So when they see u are self sponsored, they could reject your 485.

I will definitely call senator's office and talk and even take appointment. For me the senators nearest office is 150 miles drive one way. But I will do that.
The House representitive's office is less than half a mile's drive. But he is a member of Toncredo's immigration caucus and it is plain useless to talk to them.
The highlighted message is the key to the next step.
At most times you are likely to get such automated responses and message would be ignored unless backed up by lobbying effort. Each campaign is carefully crafted and the strategy is based on our ongoing lobbying efforts.This is why we ask for a focused message and followup instead of sending junk emails (from online petitions) and thinking our work is done after hitting the submit button. It is a waste of time and energy and misleads the community in what they should be doing to get attention to their issues. Sending email is just one tiny step towards the advocacy work. Next step is to call the office and follow up about the email. Tell them you are not satisfied with such a response on an important issue. Tell them that you want to talk to someone about your letter and also wants to meet them in their office as you are a constituent and part of a national organization. Had it been 1:1.. I would be on the next flight back home .. enjoying family, friends, bhelpuri, cricket , 10000 festivals, neigbors trooping in .. etc etc .
If money is the sole objective of staying in the US, you might want to take a serious look at returning back to India. These days there are lots of high paying jobs in India, esp in software sector. OK, so you wouldn't get the exact dollar amount, but you wouldn't have to pay $400K+ for a home either (except perhaps some parts of Bangalore and Bombay).
And if you are in the software field in the US, you will have to live with a constant fear of your job getting outsourced to India. Infact I think when the next tech downturn comes (note when, not if), there'll be a job bloodbath in the US IT sector. That's because most companies already know about outsourcing and have offices in India and China. When the going gets tough they'll easily shift everything engineering related to India and China. During the last tech bubble bust, outsourcing wasn't very well known - and even then it was painful. This time round it'll be much worse. It's a ticking time bomb..

Hello friends,
I was wondering about the FP notice time frame. I had applied for 485/EAD/AP on July 2nd at NSC which later got transferred to TSC. Receipts indicate that notice date is 8/27.
I was wondering how many days does it take to get FP notice from the 485 notice date? data indicates that some of the TSC guys who have notice dates of 8/29 have already got their FP notices scheduled for mid september.

kg318... from your initial post you indicated that you "demanded" money back and noted that Company A's practice was "against the law". Now, they are using the same law against you. Not saying it is fair or pretty. Just remember, what you sow, you shall reap.
It is generally poor practice to go for gung-ho activism in a situation where you are unclear about the law (e.g., non compete) and unable to get good counsel (e.g. immigration and business law attorneys).
Just keep this in mind. Long term, your peace of mind is worth more than $4K ... just think if there are other ways in which you could have handled this.... in case such event pop up again.
If I were you, I would have a civil conversation with that company. Tell them that economics took over empathy, that you wish to be in a position where you have less financial loss and would appreciate an amicable parting of ways.
It's a small world out there. Dont pi*s on anyone, lest it come back to wet your backside!
Sabre rattling might get you out of this one, but the world still remains a small place!
